In order to prioritize the health and safety of our visitors and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic, Buswell Library Special Collections will remain closed to the general public through Spring 2021. These measures are in alignment with the guidelines of Wheaton College and the regulations of the State of Illinois.
During this time, only Wheaton College students and employees or approved local individuals may schedule research appointments to visit the Manuscripts Reading Room for use of our materials. Local visitors should contact Special Collections staff for more information on the approval process. All off-campus visitors must read adhere to our COVID-19 Reading Room Guidelines.

The College Archives, the preeminent collection within Special Collections, documents the history of Wheaton College, and its predecessor, the Illinois Institute.
