Research Access to Buswell Library Special Collections for Summer 2021
In order to prioritize the health and safety of our visitors and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic, Buswell Library Special Collections is offering limited research appointments in the Manuscripts Reading Room during the summer academic term. Starting May 10, Wheaton College students, employees, and approved off-campus visitors may schedule research appointments to visit the Manuscripts Reading Room to use the collections. All visitors must read and adhere to our COVID-19 Reading Room Guidelines. Please contact Special Collections for more information.
For any off-campus researchers unable to travel this summer, remote reference services will continue to be available. Off-campus researchers are encouraged to contact Special Collections staff at firstname.lastname@example.org with archival questions; review our Collection Listings for access to our catalog and material descriptions; or email Special Collections if interested in hiring college-approved proxy researchers.
Special Collections collects materials of noted adherents to the Christian faith, particularly those who have a significant relationship with Wheaton College and/or evangelical Christianity. The College Archives, the preeminent collection within Special Collections, documents the history of Wheaton College, and its predecessor, the Illinois Institute.
