About Off Campus Log In

Some of the Library's resources - databases and electronic journals are restricted to currently employed faculty/staff and currently enrolled students registered in degree or credit courses. On campus, users have direct access to these resources via the Library's web pages and the my.wheaton.edu portal. Off campus users must authenticate (login) to gain access. You are authenticated through a program called EZproxy that prompts you to enter a login ID and password.

EZproxy Access
IMPORTANT: Before you start, please follow the instructions to ADJUST PROXY SETTINGS AND ENABLE COOKIES AND JAVASCRIPT in your browser.

  1. Go to this Off Campus Log In page from any library page.
  2. Enter your network login ID and password, then click the   button.
  3. If you see a Security Alert window, answer Yes to the question Do you want to proceed?

Authorized users will return to the library page that they came from and will then be able to access restricted resources. If you have problems accessing databases from the library web pages, direct links to library resources are available from a DATABASE LISTING.

Note:The links to restricted resources will look different than the on-campus direct links. EZproxy links include the string ezproxy.wheaton.edu somewhere in the URL. If you do not see this URL pattern when you hover your mouse over a restricted link you may have exited out of EZproxy and you will have to login again.
